About The Position

As a full-time unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location in Columbus, Ohio, you will help safeguard clients and the public through routine patrols, incident response, and professional customer service. You will maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and work with a team that values integrity, agility, and innovation. The position pays $18.36 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following post orders and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and daily activities in required reports and communicate relevant information during shift changes.
