About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at an aerospace and defense location in Huntsville, Alabama. The role focuses on access control: managing entry points, verifying credentials and authorizations, monitoring access activity, and helping maintain a secure environment for personnel and operations. The officer will also maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and provide customer service and clear communication. The position pays $21.43 per hour. Scheduled hours are Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Requirements

Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals in accordance with facility requirements.
Respond calmly and effectively to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and document events as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access-control areas, building entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized entry and identify unusual conditions.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of access activity, incidents, and policy concerns while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive facility information.
