About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned shopping center site in Maple Grove, Minnesota. The role provides a consistent weekly anchor schedule, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and shifts. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, potentially increasing their hours up to 40 per week. The listed pay rate is $20.80 per hour.

The scheduled shifts are Monday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The position involves providing customer service and security at a retail property, conducting unarmed patrols, responding to incidents, observing and reporting unusual activity, and maintaining reports and activity logs.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver's license is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, notifying appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as needed.
• Observe and report unusual activity, property conditions, and policy violations to help deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and disruptive conduct.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs in accordance with site-specific procedures.
