About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time enhanced Security Officer assigned to a healthcare location in Poway, California. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift at an assigned site, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to scale back. The position pays $23.00 per hour and is scheduled Wednesdays from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The Security Officer provides customer service to patients, visitors, and staff; screens individuals entering the healthcare location; communicates directions and escalates concerns; responds to incidents according to site procedures; and accurately documents activities, incidents, and observations. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals entering the healthcare location in accordance with established access requirements, visitor guidelines, and screening protocols.
• Communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and staff, provide directions, and escalate questions or concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach, following site-specific procedures.
• Accurately document screening-related activities, incidents, and observations, and report unusual conditions to Allied Universal supervision and/or site leadership.
