About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for hospital patrol in Ventura, California. The position provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site for a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Employees may work part-time hours or build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The pay rate is $23.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require age 21 or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency-response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations; follow established protocols and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, identifying and reporting security concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, restricted-area access, and parking-related concerns in accordance with site policies.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
