About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for an assigned hospital facility in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift at the assigned site, requiring a six-month commitment. The officer may also claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, with the opportunity to increase hours up to 40 per week and scale back when needed. The role pays $17.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Meet the hospital’s vaccination requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following site-specific procedures and policies and carrying out appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the facility perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual conditions or potential concerns.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical-related emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in accordance with established protocols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, checking authorized access as applicable, and directing patients and visitors.
• Accurately and promptly document observations, incidents, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
