About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed patrol officer at an educational location in New York, NY. The officer will help safeguard the campus and support a welcoming environment by maintaining a visible presence, patrolling assigned areas, providing customer service, and responding professionally to security concerns. The schedule is Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The pay rate is $20.40–$21.40 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out security procedures, campus-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; notify campus personnel or emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, walkways, parking locations, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and suspicious activity according to site procedures.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities while maintaining a professional presence.
