About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for visitor screening at an assigned site in Niles, Ohio. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment, plus the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Additional hours may be available across multiple sites, with the opportunity to build toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week and the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $16.00 per hour. The scheduled shift is Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.

The role provides customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out screening procedures and site policies in controlled aerospace and defense manufacturing areas. Officers verify access credentials, screen people and items, document activity, respond to incidents, and patrol assigned areas.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, packages, vehicles, and deliveries entering controlled aerospace and defense manufacturing areas in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and access permissions; document entries, denied access attempts, and unusual activity using required systems and logs.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, screening locations, business areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized access or prohibited items.
