About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for visitor screening at an assigned utility location in West Finley, Pennsylvania. The role provides a designated weekly shift as a reliable base schedule, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and shift. Officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, potentially working up to 40 hours per week and scaling back when needed. The position pays $18.00 per hour. The stated schedule is Thursday, 8:00 AM–8:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership about shift activity, unusual conditions, and security-related incidents.
