Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Security officer training certification preferred
2 years of proven work experience as a Security Officer or similar role
Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

Monitoring and authorizing entrance and departure of employees, tenants, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises
Patrolling premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates
Monitoring and responding to alarms and investigate disturbances
Writing reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
Providing excellent customer service to tenants and visitors
