About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Jacksonville, Florida. The officer will help safeguard the site by monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. The role also supports badge and visitor access processes, screening activities, and professional customer service and communication.

The schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour. Applicants must have at least six months of security-related experience, be at least 18 years old for an unarmed role, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations.

• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by following site-specific security procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking lots, access points, and perimeter.
• Monitor site access by verifying credentials, observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and reporting unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, package or vehicle-related concerns, and critical situations; document and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs while maintaining a professional presence in a fast-paced operational environment.
