About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Screening in Newton, Mississippi, you will safeguard clients at a logistics location by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, supporting access control, observing and reporting unusual activity, and providing professional customer service and communication to employees, visitors, and drivers. The role is part of a team-focused workplace guided by agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity. This is a full-time position paying $16.25 per hour. The schedule is 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and a rustic guard shack.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment, where required.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and conduct emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
Support access control, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and drivers.
Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.
