About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening in Grimes, Iowa, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or vehicles entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipping documentation, and authorization before permitting entry to restricted areas.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, promptly reporting concerns through established procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, business operations, and perimeter locations, documenting observations and irregularities.
