About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard Screening Assistant for a logistics and distribution location in Mesquite, Texas. The Screener helps support a secure environment by monitoring access, screening individuals and materials, and reporting security-related concerns. The role involves providing professional customer service, communicating clearly with team members and visitors, and using technology to document activities. The posted schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.82 per hour.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Screen employees, visitors, packages, and deliveries according to location procedures, and report prohibited or suspicious items or activities.
Monitor access points and shipping and receiving areas to support authorized entry and orderly operations.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations using a problem-solving approach, and promptly notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the distribution location and perimeter.
