About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol at a logistics and distribution location in Hermiston, Oregon, you will help safeguard clients and serve employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors. You will conduct patrols, maintain a visible presence, monitor access, respond to incidents, and document activity while following site-specific procedures and providing customer service. The position is full-time and pays $19.50 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a freight distribution location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering or leaving the property in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
Document observations, patrol activity, incidents, and policy violations in clear, accurate reports.
