About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in San Antonio, Texas. In a healthcare location, the officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, vendors, and the site by providing customer service, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting a welcoming environment. The role includes following site-specific procedures and access protocols, responding to routine concerns and emergencies, and documenting activities in accordance with company and site requirements. The position pays $17.62 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on applicable background and drug screening. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- A state-, county-, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with company and site requirements.
