About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location in Baltimore, Maryland. The officer will safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and the facility through routine patrols, a visible security presence, access and visitor monitoring, and professional customer service. The role involves responding to incidents and emergencies, communicating with appropriate personnel, and completing shift documentation. The listed pay rate is $16.24 per hour. The schedule includes Monday 10:30 PM–7:00 AM, Thursday 2:30 PM–10:30 PM, Friday 10:30 PM–7:00 AM, and Sunday 2:30 PM–11:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be willing to receive required hospital vaccines.
• Be comfortable working in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond professionally to incidents, medical-related emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or irregular conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; provide directions and escorts as assigned; and report suspicious behavior or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift documentation accurately and promptly.
