Security Officer Risk Prevention
About The Position
As a Security Officer Risk Prevention in Port Isabel, Texas, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries including financial institutions. Supporting a financial institution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and stakeholders while contributing to a welcoming environment. The position is full-time, pays $13.50 per hour, and has a daytime schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Applicants must meet applicable age requirements, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and satisfy employment screening and any applicable licensing requirements. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the business location, including entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter, as assigned.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with site procedures.
