About The Position

As a Security Officer Personnel Screening Specialist in Oakland, California, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will help support a secure environment by screening individuals and items, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. The role also involves providing professional customer service and clear communication while helping to deter incidents. The position is full-time and pays $21.95 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, vehicles, packages, and cargo entering designated areas in accordance with established procedures and site requirements.
• Monitor access points and verify required credentials, shipping documentation, and authorized entry permissions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
