About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in Boise, Idaho, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology-focused location. You will help maintain a welcoming and secure environment by screening personnel and visitors, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. The role requires exceptional customer service, clear communication, and a visible presence that helps deter incidents. The position is scheduled Thursdays and Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and pays $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations, potentially before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access screening requirements, and emergency response activities.
Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and deliveries; verify credentials, identification, and authorization before permitting access.
Monitor access points and screening equipment, report suspicious activity or prohibited items, and maintain accurate visitor, delivery, and incident records.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, follow site protocols, and communicate with appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and the surrounding business perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
