About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer - Personnel Screening in Plainfield, Indiana, you will safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will screen personnel, visitors, and/or materials according to site procedures, maintain a visible security presence, report concerns, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. The role includes access-control activities, inspections, incident response, and patrols.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable law.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and associates while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel entering the logistics and distribution location according to access-control procedures.
• Inspect credentials, visitor logs, packages, and/or vehicles as directed, and report irregularities or prohibited items to site leadership.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain a visible presence, report security-related concerns, and communicate clearly and professionally.
