About The Position

As a Security Officer Personnel Screening Full Time in Chester, Virginia, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor access points, screen visitors and deliveries, and help maintain a secure environment while providing customer service and communicating clearly with employees and guests. The role requires a visible presence to help deter incidents.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries according to site access requirements and established protocols.
• Verify credentials, maintain accurate visitor and access records, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter; report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Provide customer service and communicate clearly with employees and guests.
