Security Officer Patrol with Active Clearance
About The Position
As a Security Officer Patrol with Active Clearance in Arlington, Virginia, you will serve and safeguard clients as an unarmed patrol officer. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment. The role includes communicating professionally with employees and visitors, responding to concerns, and documenting observations using computer or tablet tools. This is a full-time position paying $25.12 per hour. The scheduled hours are 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience and an active Department of Defense Secret clearance. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by law.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years or older for armed roles.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor and contractor entry records in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout business areas, the perimeter, parking areas, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Accurately and promptly document observations, incidents, and security-related concerns using site-required reporting procedures.
