About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Active Clearance Area Patrol in Salt Lake City, Utah, to serve and safeguard clients at an aerospace and defense location. In this unarmed patrol role, the officer monitors assigned areas, conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents, and supports access control and alarm response activities. The position emphasizes customer service, clear communication, and a caring, agile, reliable, and integrity-driven team environment. This is a full-time position paying $23.56 per hour. The listed schedule is 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Applicants must possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance and a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local regulations; a valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

Possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and direct authorized personnel and visitors as needed.
Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, communicating observations and incidents to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
