Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting visitors, verifying identification, managing sign-in procedures, and following site-specific access protocols at the front desk of a transportation location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, answer phones and/or direct inquiries, and document visitor, delivery, and contractor arrivals in accordance with security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by observing front desk activity, confirming credentials, issuing visitor badges when required, and reporting concerns through proper channels.
  • Support daily operations by completing logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while following Allied Universal standards and client site policies.
