Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and/or check-out, issuing temporary credentials, and communicating with hosts regarding guest arrivals.
  • Answer phones, greet incoming guests, receive deliveries, and report unusual activity or security-related concerns to site leadership in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Support security-related operations at the front desk by maintaining logs, documenting incidents, and assisting with badge, key, and/or access requests in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while helping to deter unauthorized access and escalating issues through proper channels.
