About The Position

As a Security Officer Lobby Desk in Malone, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Front Desk Officer in a government location, you will be the first point of contact, helping to support a welcoming and professional environment through visitor assistance, access control, and clear communication. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures and front desk protocols at a government location.
  • Monitor building access at the front desk, verify identification and/or visitor credentials, and document entry and exit activity in accordance with post instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate with supervisors, building contacts, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Support security-related operations by answering questions, directing foot traffic, maintaining visitor logs, and reporting maintenance, access control, and/or policy concerns.
  • Carry out assigned security-related procedures, site policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities from a primarily stationary front desk post.
