About The Position

As a Security Officer Licensed Patrol Coordinator in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a busy government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist riders and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will bring an agile, reliable, and innovative approach while working as part of a team and acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout platforms, stations, facilities, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas, assisting with crowd management, directing foot traffic, and supporting orderly movement during routine operations and/or service disruptions.
  • Observe and report maintenance issues, unauthorized access attempts, and policy violations, while following Allied Universal post orders and location guidelines.
