Security Officer II
About The Position
Security implements measures to safeguard Cardinal Health’s assets from circumstances and threats that could cause harm or loss. The function includes visitor credentialing, surveillance of company facilities, enforcement of security standards and procedures, response to security crises, and management of relationships with security vendors. The Security Officer II performs routine security procedures and patrols, supports compliance with corporate security and safety standards, and responds to security or medical incidents. The role also provides customer service at security desks and requires professional interaction with employees, contractors, and visitors. Work is performed under a moderate degree of supervision, with routine assignments and referral of complex or unusual problems to a supervisor. The weekly schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The anticipated hourly range is $19.70–$25.29. The position is not bonus eligible. Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, equivalent, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- One or more years of experience in a related field preferred.
- Ability to work independently and perform job duties with minimal supervision.
- Maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.
- Adhere to quality guidelines and work within standard operating procedures; refer complex or unusual problems to a supervisor.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in the security industry preferred.
- Basic EMT/paramedic qualification preferred.
- AED/CPR certification preferred.
