About The Position

As a Security Officer Front Desk Agent in Santa Monica, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and front desk responsibilities at a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception areas, verify identification and visitor information, and support access control processes for guests, deliveries, and appointments.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Maintain detailed logs, reports, and front desk records related to arrivals, departures, visitor management, and other security-related activity.
  • Support a professional front desk presence by answering questions, directing foot traffic, and helping to deter unauthorized access through attentive observation and policy awareness.
