As a Security Officer Entry Authorization in Brookwood, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at an industrial location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify authorized access, monitor site activity, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors. You will maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents while supporting a caring, reliable team culture. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, issuing authorized access materials, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Screen vehicles, deliveries, and personnel entering or leaving the location in accordance with established procedures, reporting unauthorized access attempts or irregularities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and assigned facilities to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
