Requirements

  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor badges as applicable, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
  • Maintain professional communication with site personnel and the Allied Universal team while supporting a controlled and orderly environment.
