About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Authorization in Freeport, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor access activity to help protect people, property, and operations. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and deliver professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, processing authorized visitors and contractors, maintaining visitor logs, and communicating access concerns to site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Complete accurate reports and shift documentation, including visitor activity, incidents, patrol observations, and access control exceptions.
