About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Authorization in Freeport, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor access activity to help protect people, property, and operations. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, processing authorized visitors and contractors, maintaining visitor logs, and communicating access concerns to site contacts.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Complete accurate reports and shift documentation, including visitor activity, incidents, patrol observations, and access control exceptions.
