About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Authorization in North Canton, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor entry activity, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor access control points at a telecommunications and media location; verify credentials, manage visitor entry, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building entrances, telecommunications equipment areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
  • Follow Allied Universal and site-specific protocols for key, badge, and visitor management while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive operational information.
