About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Unarmed Patrol Driver for an assigned retail location in Springfield, Massachusetts. The role provides a fixed weekly schedule of designated anchor shifts, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and schedule. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust hours as needed. The pay rate is $20.50 per hour.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures and site policies, conducts patrols, monitors designated areas, and responds professionally to incidents and concerns. The position requires at least two years of security-related experience, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required prior to employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site personnel.
• Assist with access control, monitor designated areas, and help deter theft and unauthorized activity through a visible presence.
