About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Unarmed Patrol in Houston, Texas. The position provides reliable hours at an assigned site, with a designated weekly shift that serves as an anchor schedule and requires a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, with the option to increase hours up to 40 per week and later scale back. The role supports security operations at healthcare facilities, including visitor management, patrols, incident response, and accurate reporting. The listed pay rate is $15.95 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations while following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management according to site-specific requirements.
• Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
