About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer - Dispatch in Phoenix, Arizona, you will serve and safeguard clients in an educational setting. You will coordinate communications, monitor access activity, and support timely responses to security-related situations while helping maintain a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors and providing outstanding customer service. The role is scheduled Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and pays $21.53 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Type at a minimum of 40 words per minute.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Monitor incoming communications, alarms, cameras, and access-related systems from the dispatch center; document and relay pertinent information to appropriate personnel.
• Dispatch officers and/or emergency responders to incidents, service requests, and critical situations, responding in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and communication records in accordance with site procedures.
• Support coordination of regular and random patrols around campus buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
