About The Position

As a Security Officer Dispatch Control Room in Newark, Delaware, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries including financial institutions. You will coordinate communications, monitor alarms and access-control activity, document incidents, and dispatch appropriate responses to security-related needs. The role calls for professionalism, attention to detail, and customer service to help maintain an organized environment and deter incidents.

This is a full-time position scheduled Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Guard Card or license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and taking part in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and coordinate incoming calls, alarms, access requests, and incident notifications from a dispatch center, documenting activity according to site procedures.
• Dispatch appropriate personnel and/or notify designated contacts about security incidents, critical situations, and facility concerns while communicating calmly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and records of incidents, notifications, and dispatch activity, escalating information according to established protocols.
• Monitor site activity through available communications systems and/or cameras, report unusual conditions, and help deter unauthorized activity.
