About The Position

As a Security Officer Dispatch Communications in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch professional supporting a dynamic tech and telecommunications location. In this role, you will monitor activity, coordinate communications, document incidents, and help support timely responses to security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor communication channels, alarm activity, cameras, and/or other site systems from the dispatch post, then relay information to on-site personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Receive and document calls for service, incident reports, maintenance concerns, and/or unusual activity, then distribute updates to the appropriate contacts based on site protocols.
  • Coordinate responses to incidents, access-related concerns, medical situations, and/or critical events by dispatching the appropriate personnel and maintaining clear records of actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter when assigned, with working environments and conditions varying by location and operational needs.
