Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, galleries, public areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and help to manage entry and exit activity in accordance with location rules, visitor guidelines, and/or after-hours procedures.
  • Communicate with site contacts, local authorities, and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and other conditions that may impact daily operations.
