Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of corrections, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout residential communities, common areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity while verifying access permissions and addressing questions or concerns in a professional manner.
• Support Allied Universal standards by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and communicating clearly with residents, guests, staff, and/or local first responders when needed.
