Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including hallways, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and/or conditions.
  • Assist with monitoring entry and exit activity, help to deter unauthorized access, and support a professional environment within a healthcare location.
  • Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or local contacts.
