Requirements

  • Possess 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by site procedures, and report security-related concerns through proper channels.
  • Support daily site operations by documenting incidents, completing routine reports, and following post orders for unarmed patrol assignments in a professional manner.
