About The Position

As a Security Officer Alarm Systems Monitor with Allied Universal in West Palm Beach, Florida, you will help safeguard clients across a range of industries. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for people and property, respond to alarms, remain visible to deter incidents, and provide customer service. The role involves using technology, communicating professionally, and contributing through teamwork, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity. The position is full-time and pays $19.67 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Monday and Tuesday, 5:00 AM–1:00 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM; and Sunday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet state and/or local licensing requirements, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Experience with alarm panels.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and conducting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
Conduct routine bike patrols and respond to alarms.
