About The Position

As a Security Officer Correctional Facility Alarm Panel Monitor in Atlanta, Georgia, you will support a public-sector location by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, managing access control and badges, responding to alarm-panel activity, and providing customer service. You will use computer or tablet systems to help maintain a secure environment and contribute through teamwork and integrity.

The position is full-time and pays $21.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Thursday through Sunday, 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM. Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience, be at least 18 for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients.
• Perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter.
• Monitor assigned areas and respond to alarm-panel activity.
• Manage access control and badges.
