As a Security Officer Access Driver in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support smooth site access for employees, visitors, and deliveries. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. Through visible presence, routine activity, and strong communication, you will help promote a secure environment while delivering service with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and help to control authorized access for personnel, vehicles, and visitors.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter, with awareness that working conditions may vary by location.
  • Document visitor activity, vehicle movements, and unusual events, and communicate with site contacts regarding security-related matters, access issues, and/or policy questions.
