As a Security Officer Access Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location as a driving access control professional, helping monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and perform routine patrols. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Applicants must have 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor screening, badge verification, and/or entry point monitoring at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and document the movement of employees, contractors, visitors, and deliveries, helping to support authorized access and reporting irregularities according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual conditions and/or unauthorized activity.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and communication records related to access control events, inspections, incidents, and/or policy violations.
