As a Security Officer Access Driver in Pittston, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in various industries such as Retail/Malls. This is a part-time role offering flexibility to build a schedule using the Claim a Shift platform. The position is at a busy retail distribution location, focusing on access control, monitoring entry activity, completing routine patrols to deter security incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. A valid driver's license is required for this driving post.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and team members by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document access activity for the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or potential policy violations.
  • Assist with receiving area and gate access activity by helping to control vehicle and pedestrian movement, directing authorized personnel, and reporting suspicious behavior or security-related issues.
