Requirements

  • A DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and/or deliveries for authorized entry, inspect bags and personal items as directed, and help to deter prohibited items from entering the location.
  • Verify identification, maintain access logs and screening records, and communicate entry procedures, directions, and site expectations in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, monitor entrances and screening areas, and observe for unusual activity or policy violations.
