Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and facility personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential checks, and security-related policies for a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for employees, contractors, guests, and delivery traffic, helping to deter unauthorized access and documenting arrivals, departures, and unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, gate areas, trailer yards, docks, and perimeter, with attention to security-related concerns, damaged access points, and operational disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and access records, and assist with directing foot traffic and vehicle flow in accordance with post orders and site procedures.
